Ivar Sisniega joins the FMF

One week after taking office as President, Juan Carlos Rodríguez decided to add Ivar Sisniega Campbell to the operational structure, who will initially occupy the position of Consultant to the President of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

Ivar has an impeccable track record in the world of sport; as an athlete, he has participated in 3 Olympic Games as a pentathlete, while in the managerial sphere, he has held important positions, including the presidency of Club Guadalajara, the presidency of CONADE, and the General Secretariat of PASO (Pan American Sports Organisation), a position he currently holds and which he will leave to join the FMF.

The arrival of Sisniega Campbell is strategic for the achievement of the objectives proposed, and announced in recent days, by the new President of the FMF, among which stand out:

1.- Getting to know the different working teams of the Federation and LIGA MX and defining together with the President: the vision, mission, and values of the industry.

2.- To propose, together with the President, the necessary reforms to the statutes that will help to achieve the structural and industry changes agreed at the Club Assembly, among which stand out:

- The creation of a new structure for Mexican Football, to achieve the improvement of the corporate structure of the FMF and LIGA MX.

- To make the necessary top-level appointments by the new corporate structure.

- Define the corporate strategy that seeks in the short and medium term to maximize the exploitation of the assets of the FMF and LIGA MX, including broadcasting rights, and commercial sponsorships in Mexico, the United States, and the Rest of the World.

3.- To develop together with the President a sustainable and highly competitive medium and long-term project for the National Teams. As well as a project that is institutional and with clear processes for the Amateur Sector.

About the New Structure of Mexican Football

The new corporate structure will coordinate the efforts of the FMF and LIGA MX for the transformation of our football.     

The first step in its construction is the adjustment of the current FMF statutes, a task that is being carried out by President Juan Carlos Rodriguez and his team, which will be presented in the coming weeks.
