FMF, Liga MX and AMFpro pay in advance to former players and coaching staff of Club Tiburones, while litigation with the bonding company continues
Payments are made from own resources to support players and coaching staff
In order to support former players and coaching staff who are still owed by Club Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, the FMF, Liga MX and AMFpro have paid advances on the liabilities of those affected who filed their dispute before the competent body. This has been done with their own resources as a sign of goodwill and while awaiting the resolution of the litigation in court with the bonding company.
The follow-up of the cases has been carried out gradually and based on the 156 disputes received and processed by the FMF's Dispute Resolution and Conciliation Committee.
Since 14 February, advance payments have been made, visiting several locations in Mexico to facilitate the approach with the parties involved to cover payments to Liga MX Femenil players, youth teams players, senior team, Premier League and Third Division Professional affiliates, as well as to the technical staff of these categories.
The payments are the result of an agreement between the FMF, Liga MX, and AMFpro to support those affected, since, after more than three years, the litigation in court with the bonding company, which is legally obliged to cover the obligations of the disaffiliated Club, has not been resolved.
It should be clarified that the FMF, Liga MX and AMFpro are not jointly and severally liable and do not owe any debt to the former players and/or coaching staff of Club Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz.
